The final stop of the DC Pro Tour aka Rob Dyrdek’s Street League Skateboarding is in full qualifying mode today at UNLV’s Thomas and Mack Arena in sweltering Las Vegas. Arguably the 22 best skateboarders in the world are skating qualifying heats for a shot at tomorrow’s 150 grand first place prize, part of the 1.2 million dollar haul for the three stop tour. With wins under their belt in Phoenix, Arizona and Ontario, California respectively, Nyjah Huston and Sean Malto are in the prime positions to snag the overall title. We asked Rob Dyrdek for a prediction and received this enthusiastically diplomatic reply, “I feel like this course was made for Shane O’Neill, but at the same time the course is so technical I think it opens it up to guys like Koston and PJ Ladd who haven’t made it into the finals yet. But then again Chaz Ortiz doesn’t miss tricks and Torey Pudwill is so gnarly, it’s too hard to predict!” Hey, what do you expect from the man who hand picked the field of competitors? No worries, we’ll have the results for you tomorrow as well as tons of more coverage. Check out some pics from qualifiers after the jump.
