Damn that was quick – here’s the next release coming from Shut. The 7.875 x 31.45 Gold Label board is the brand’s fourth collaboration with artist Steve Nish, who also did their Signage, Brix, and Vampire board artwork. These will also be in stock on Orchard by the weekend.

Shut has some dope product set to drop this fall starting with the Stickers Mini. Peep this exclusive first look at the 7.375 x 29.5 deck featuring an all over graphic of Shut’s original stickers from the 80’s. The Barb, Street Posse, Jeremy Henderson’s Big Apple and more classics are laid out over a crispy white base that happens to lock up perfectly with the new Shut Money Grip wheels. Both items will be in stock at Shut Mechanics on Orchard by this weekend.

We told you that the Shut team was heading off to the Cayman Islands to take over Skate Cayman this past week. Well the crew is back and sent over some snaps from throughout the session. Shut Concierge Michael Cohen took these pics of Javier Nunez, Todd Jordan and Luis Tolentino having a blast with the campers, the Fuel TV crew, and in the wave pool, which was evidently way more gnarly than anything in the skate park. As you know, the Gonz opened his show “SouthWest,” curated by Emma Reeves, at Half Gallery in NYC last night. Radcollector friend and contributor, Michael Cohen, was on hand and took a couple flicks. That’s the Gonz and Shut founder Rodney Smith demonstrating the pleasures of reaching OG status in the game. Check out some more pics after the jump.

An event that could only truly go down in the heart of Brooklyn, The Afro Punk Festival is set to go off this 4th of July Weekend. Taking over the entire BAM complex off Flatbush Ave, downtown BK, Shut Skateboards, ESPN, Nike SB, Mountain Dew, Frank151, and more are hosting a film festival, skate contest, BMX contest, and mad concerts from July 3rd to 8th. Highlights include a screening of Hood to the Woods, the documentary by Brian Deka Paupaw about finding his way from the streets of Bed-Stuy to the hills of Chile and British Columbia and Living Colour headlining. Frank’s Chop Shop (FCS), a New York based full-service traditional barbershop, announces its first-ever collaboration to create a limited edition skateboard with legendary original New York City skateboard company SHUT. Together with SHUT, Frank’s Chop Shop will release only 151 exclusive collectable decks designed by acclaimed trendsetting artist, Steve Ellis.

The FCS/SHUT board is a unique extension of the very popular collector’s edition of the SHUT Blade board series, as well as another offering in a series of Frank’s Chop Shop exclusive limited edition products. FCS will celebrated the launch of the limited edition SHUT skateboard decks with an art gallery exhibition on Monday, March 3rd  from 6-9pm. FCS transformed into a temporary art gallery for one night where the FCS/SHUT deck was on display along with original barbershop inspired artwork by Steve Ellis.

One of New York’s most iconic skateboard companies just opened a new flagship store in NYC. Shut NYC opened Local 158 in the Lower Eastside. The store will carry mostly hard goods and some few select other brands.
