Rad Collector - Shut Skates $1 Sale
Now this one is just loko. Shut is pulling some Crazy Eddie shit and having a $1 t-shirt sale in honor of Black Friday this week. It’s supposed to be only one per customer but if you pack some fake moustaches and wigs and maybe a change of clothes or two, you can probably get away with getting like 4 or 5 shirts before the Concierge catches you. Good Luck! Full info after the jump.

Rad Collector - Stoked Awards Recap
As we mentioned, the Stoked Awards went off last Thursday with an amazing display of emotion and generosity. Awards were given for Volunteer of the Year, Mentor Pair of the Year and for Achievement, with the latter going to Quiksilver CEO Bob McKnight. To top it all off, Sal Masekela got the people in the room to cough up another $20,000 on top of the $80,000 he had already generated by running the NYC Marathon this month. Check out a full recap of the evening over at ESPN. More photos of people who have helped make Stoked a success after the jump including Shut, Red Bull, Milk Studios, CCS, and Michael Orenstein who ran the marathon with Sal and made sure he finished. Good stuff.

More from NYC – Shut flow ripper Shawn Powers with an ill night sesh from last Friday. In all honesty, there isn’t a gnarlier place to skate in the whole world. Filmed and edited and set to some nice piano jazz by Ryan Margulies. Via 48Blocks.

Rad Collector - Halloween Hellraiser Recap
Alex Corporan and Billy Rohan’s Halloween Hellraiser went off yesterday during a brief reprieve from NYC’s persistently shitty weather. The Open Road Roof at the New Design High School drew both groms and legends in pursuit of 3G’s in prizes. At the end of it all everyone was a winner as the kids grabbed cash at every feature while OG’s like Harry Jumonji and Derek Rinaldi showed them that skating stays with you for life. More pics after the jump.

Tony Manfre Interview

Rad Collector - Tony Manfre Interview
Shut pro Tony Manfre has a dope new interview up at 48Blocks. Amongst other pearls, he drops this story about getting stuck for his board at EMB in San Francisco.

Yeah – I got ripped off by some punk immediately at EMB. He was like “where you from” and then he pretty much just took my board and skated off with it. When my mom came to pick me up she was like “where’s your board?” When I told her what happened she went across EMB, found the kid and said “where did you get that board” the punk says “I got this from my homeboy.” My mom’s all “I bought that board motherfucker” and took it. The whole bench of people where like “OOOOOOHHHHHHH” and I got my board back. I was twelve or thirteen.

Shut x Dave Ortiz x Halloween

Rad Collector - Shut x Dave Ortiz x Halloween
If you’ve never experienced it, Halloween in NYC is one of the most bananas nights of the year. Since it falls on a Saturday this year, the holiday is being stretched out to a good four day affair. In that vein, Shut and Dave Ortiz are getting together to throw a masquerade party on Thursday the 29th. They are so serious about the masquerade part that they are even providing masks to people who lame out and don’t bring one. From the looks of this invite, this is gonna be proper. Full info after the jump.

Rad Collector - Shut Wallpaper Series Behind The Scenes
We brought you the Shut Wallpaper Pro Series boards last week, now we bring you a closer look at how they were created. Far from some photoshop/illustrator bullshit, Eli Gesner created each of the decks by painstakingly creating mock antique walls and fixtures which he then photographed for the final graphic. That’s real. More pics of the creation of the Felix Arguelles board after the jump.

Rad Collector - Deathbowl to Downtown Sold Out
This is pretty random but a great example of how shit just be poppin in the city. Shut Skate Mechanics sold out of the Deathbowl to Downtown DVD’s we told you about last week. Which isn’t much news in itself until you learn that none other than Nigel Sylvester got the last copy. Small world yo! They should have more in later this week.
