This year’s party starring Raekwon and Ghostface Killah with DJ’s Spider, Tina T, and 12th Planet plus a surprise takeover by the Lady WuTang was an over capacity jumpoff that had the likes of Trouble Andrew and the Trouble Gang, Santigold, double X Games gold medalist Mark McMorris, Torstein Horgmo, Mikkel Bang, Kazu Kokubo, Danny Davis, Keir Dillon, Sal Masekela, Jake Burton, and even a gang of NFL’ers including Zane Beadles, Adam Weber, Blake Haudan, Jon Hoese, Eric Decker, Knowshon Moreno, Dave Bruton and Zac Robinson throwing W’s in the air til the early morn. Burton’s NYC premiere for Standing Sideways went off bonkers this past Thursday at Santos Party House as nearly 1000 people packed it in to see the shred flick’s epic double screening. TheGoodLife! was in full effect with 2 rammed out floors of shred heads and beautiful betties going nuts fueled by PBR, Sailor Jerry and enough Meatball Shop to feed a small army. As madness ensued, the Burton global team including Terje Haakonsen, Danny Davis, Jussi Oksanen, Jack Mitrani, Kazu Kokobo, Mikkel Bang, Mark Sollors, Mikey Rencz, Ethan Deiss, and Mark McMorris partied to the sounds of Smoke L.E.S., Jasmine Solano, Uncle Mike, Roofeeo (TV on the Radio), and Holy Ghost! Last night the Burton Snowboards fete again proved to be the go-to event during New York City’s bacchanalian carnival known as Fashion’s Night Out. Eschewing over-the-top fashion weirdos for pro shreds, gorgeous girls, and more Meatball Shop, PBR and Sailor Jerry’s than you’d think could be downed in a night, TheGoodLife! powered party also turned into an all out hoedown with DJ’s Michael Baltra, Jasmine Solano, and Stretch Armstrong tearing it up for the likes of Danny Davis, Jack Mitrani, Mark McMorris, Gabi Viteri, Pat Moore, John Jackson, Louie Vito, Benji Weatherly and of course Jake Burton. Forum, Foursquare and Special Blend rolled deep into NYC this week bringing John Jackson and Pat Moore for a visit that culminated in a pool party at the Thompson LES hotel on Thursday night. Powered by TheGoodLife!, the party included floating snowboards, outerwear-clad mannequins lounging on beach chairs, complimentary drinks from Karlsson’s Gold Vodka and PBR, fiya from DJ smoke LES, and NYC’s finest in shred and media.
