Transworld has a nice little edit of a day following Kelly Hart and Walker Ryan in their hood, Pacific Beach, California. Skating by the beach, checking out ladies in bikinis and playing some dice at your local skate shop sounds like a good day to us.

Transworld posted this edit of a quick tour of the Woodward Beijing Skatepark. The out door plaza is filled with brand new granite and marble & a huge vert ramp, and the gigantic indoor park has everything you can imagine. The place looks dope! Looky who’s on the cover of the new Transworld. Yep the most not giving a fuck dude in skateboarding continues to rack up serious accolades. If you haven’t peeped it, the Forum part in the 2009 Transworld Snowboarding Team Shoot Out at Sierra at Tahoe is ridiculously sick. Pat Moore, Peter Line, Daniel Ek, Nic Sauve, and Cameron Pierce are major leaguers for a reason. In more crossover news, behind the scenes footage from the Team Shootout will be aired on MTV2 on January 30th, 2010 probably either right before or after “Jersey Shore.”

Transworld has just posted a dope interview with everybody’s favorite Brasileiro, Luan Oliveira. Hollering from his hometown of Porto Alegre on the cusp of what is sure to be a banner year for him, his best line is about the fundamental difference between life in the US and Brasil, “U.S. is like wake up, have breakfast, go on the Internet for a bit, go skate, and then go back and have a shower, go on the Internet for a bit again, and then go back to sleep. Brasil is not the same. It’s so different. It always has something different to do and it’s always fun.” Read the whole thing here.

The new issue of Updown has E-Man Anderson on the cover with a pretty gnarly gash in his face that has a lot of people wondering. “Hollywood magic?” The answer, of course, is heck no, they’re Canadian. So in response they’ve released this behind the cover video to set the record exactly straight. Speaking of E-Man – you can peep his part and the entire movie of This Video Sucks at either the ThirtyTwo, Stepchild, Transworld, or Onboard sites starting yesterday. The video doesn’t really suck.

Hawaii’s In4mation has been a skate and streetwear heavy for a minute. With a unique perspective drawn from island culture as well as a firm understanding of the power of global relationships, the In4mation crew has worked their way up to a perch near the top of the trend making hierarchy. Transworld Business has an excellent interview today with In4mation’s Todd Shimabuku tracing the store’s roots, the current state of the market in Hawaii and of course their plans for the future. There is no question that Tony Tave is the future of skateboarding. With a rad style and an even radder personality, you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn’t like this kid. Transworld Skateboarding just put together a video “Day in the Life” with Tony. Enjoy.

Introduced in the 90s as an extension of the “Skate And Create” theme of Transworld SKATEboarding magazine, the monthly Brain Floss feature focused on the artistic talents of skateboarders off their boards. In 2008, the Brain Floss has awoken from its five-year hibernation, and with the help of New Era Cap Company, the artists are being given their choice of hat silhouettes to do as they please—the outcome being a limited run of caps for fans of TWS, New Era, and the featured artist/skateboarder. Number one in a series of six artists is San Francisco’s Benny Gold who chose the classic 59FIFTY and actually did two versions—a black and orange San Francisco version to represent his home, and a brown and gold version to represent San Diego, the home of TWS.
Fitted Hawaii has a limited amount of both styles that Benny Gold created in stock now.
