There’s one thing about Red Bull, they always go big. No how many times you see the commercial for Robbie Maddison’s ridiculously huge jump in Vegas last year you can’t help but bug out a little. This New Year’s, Motocross maniac slash MTV star Travis Pastrana is gonna try to take it up a notch by jumping a car off a pier onto a floating target to complete the world’s farthest jump in a rally car. Take that Ken Block. We caught up with Travis at the DC store in New York to hear a little bit about why the hell he signed up for New Year No Limits.

Nitro Circus Season 2

Rad Collector - Nitro Circus Season 2
It may as well be DCTV. Following the heels of Rob Dyrdek getting the green light for season two of Fantasy Factory, Travis Pastrana and his crew have gotten another go around for Nitro Circus. They’ve even been bumped over to MTV’s “See You Thursday” programming, which actually sounds pretty lame (must be the cuts in marketing at Viacom), but should be a good look for the show nevertheless. DC athlete Jolene Van Vugt will also continue to Vugt shit up as Nitro Girl while Jim DeChamp, Andy Bell, Erik Roner, Street Bike Tommy, and new guy Special Greg, will also be in the mix. There’s bound to be a Ken Block cameo too. Not coincidentally, the first season of “Nitro Circus” is set to release on DVD on Tuesday, September 8th. Season two of “Nitro Circus” will premiere on Thursday, August 27th at 10 PM ET/PT. For more go here.

Rad Collector - DC Gold Standard Wrap-Up
If you’ve been paying attention, you know DC went huge for the X Games this year with the sickest roll out of their Gold Standard program yet. Every night something was popping and the Standard Downtown was packed to the back with DC athletes and a million ways for them to be entertained from gifting suites to spa treatments. On top of that, DC athletes held it down at X with Danny Way taking gold in the Big Air Rail Jam, Chad Kagy and Dave Mirra holding down silver and bronze respectively in BMX Big Air, Ricky Carmichael and Ronnie Renner tying for gold in the Moto X Step Up, Kagy coming in again for the bronze in BMX Vert, Nate Adams taking bronze in Moto X, and Travis Pastrana knocking out a silver in Rally Car Racing. Not bad for one brand, eh? Check out a bunch of pics from the Gold Standard/DC X Games experience after the jump and don’t forget that you can peep DC week on Fuel TV’s The Daily Habit every night at 9pm EST from August 17th through the 21st.
