Rad Collector - Grouse 24/7
In a move that really takes the cake for resort radness, Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver will be open 24/7 for the entire duration of the Olympics. That means shredding pow under the lights with the skyline of Vancouver shimmering underneath long after bar time is called, they don’t say Van is hea-Van for nothing. Get all the info right here.

Rad Collector - Burton 2010 US Olympic Uniforms
Burton unveiled the 2010 US Olympic Snowboard Team uniform at their flagship store in NYC last night. The mellow yet patriotic red, white and blue plaid over denim jacket and pant combo will certainly have every other winter Olympic athlete wondering why the hell they didn’t take up snowboarding instead of whatever lame sport they are doing, while the Gore-Tex fabric should keep the team dry in Vancouver’s notoriously wet, heavy snow. More looks at the uniform after the jump.

Emerica recently took over Vancouver for their first “foreign” edition of Wild in the Streets. In addition to running amok with every skater in town, they paid homage to Leeside Skatepark and Lee Matasi with some exclusive tee shirts. Check out the madness right here – this is what the world would look like if skateboarders took over – for reals! Via Skateboarder Mag.

Burton x 2010 US Snowboard Team

It’s been announced that Burton will once again provide the official snowboard outerwear for the U.S. Snowboarding Team, this time at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. Burton will partner with Gore to produce ultra high end outerwear for riders representing the U.S. There are no images as of yet but Greg Dacyshyn, Senior Vice President of Creative at Burton, recently gave a preview of the outerwear design, which will be revealed once the 2010 Olympic U.S. Snowboarding Team is officially announced. Here’s what he said:

The inspiration behind the U.S. Snowboarding Team outerwear for the 2010 Olympics is classic Americana. Although we are creating a uniform, our first objective is to express the individuality of snowboarding. As such, we are taking vintage American looks and interpreting them in a very unique and unexpected fashion. Finally, we will ensure that all of the highest technical attributes are maintained in the pieces, so that performance and function are not jeopardized. The result will be a progressive and fresh look that challenges the former conservatism of the Olympics.

INQMND on Nomad

Selectism - INQMND on Nomad
Our very good friends at INQMND in Canada have a photo essay and interview with NOMAD’s Zeb Munir, Matthew George, and Jesar  Gabino. "It was in 2005 when Zeb Munir and partner’s Matthew George and Jesar Gabino opened up the doors to Nomad. A fresh breath of air for high-end fashion in Toronto and a calculated risk for this large, yet small market. But a risk nonetheless, it’s not far fetched to say, ‘they done did it again’."
INQMND’s layout and presentation is simply gorgeous. A must read.
