As promised, here is the next installment of Streetmachine’s rad teasers for their collabo Old Skool with Vans Syndicate. This one features Magnus Kreiberg getting beachy at Amager Park.

As part of the roll out of their dope collabo pack with Vans Syndicate, Streetmachine has filmed three edits from the Copenhagen spots represented by the sneakers. First up is the Wonderland bowl, located in the Christiana neighborhood, and destroyed by Nicky Guerrero. Two new edits drop later this week.

Vans Syndicate and our fam at SHUT took over the LES on Friday night with the launch party for Rodney Smith’s deck and sneaker pack. Tammany Hall held the event and the place was filled with NYC skate OG’s, industry heads in town for Maloof and of course, sexy ladies. Rodney and SHUT co-owner Adam Schatz both performed live music sets while the crowd enjoyed the open bar. Check out a gallery of photos from our editor Brad Clarke after the jump.

This weekend, just in time for the entire skate industry to drop into NYC for the Maloof Cup, Vans Syndicate is launching a 48 takeover of the SHUT Skate Mechanics shop on Orchard Street in the LES. The takeover will feature an in-store party on Friday and then two days dedicated to Vans Syndicate’s sneakers and deck pack with SHUT founder Rodney Smith. History incarnate yo. We had the drop on these way back, now just in time with for the release of his SHUT deck collabo with them, Vans Syndicate has dropped the Rodney Smith Native American O.G. “S” and Old Skool O.G. “S” kicks. Customized by Rodney all the way to the box, these are super limited so get moving if you want to score a pair. Via UNIV.

The final release from SHUT’s rad summer board collection is this collabo deck with Vans Syndicate. A continuation on the pack that started with the SHUT x Vans NY Skateboarding kicks, the deck is dedicated to the lifelong achievements of SHUT founder and master shaper Rodney Smith. For the occasion Smith designed an 8.25″ old school cruiser that is available in super limited quantities now at SHUT Skate Mechanics. Tomorrow night is the release party for Tommy Guerrero’s new album “Lifeboats and Follies” at Cafe Dunord in San Francisco. Half of the proceeds will go to the Sf Food Bank and live sets will be played by Tommy and special guests, Ray Barbee, John Cardiel and many more. These buttery joints will probably not last through the weekend and are gonna be essential once the temperature drops so you might want to hit them up soon.

Eric Dressen expresses himself through his skateboard loudly and fast, but always in control. When not skating, he’s quiet and would rather not be at the center of attention. Since the late 70’s, Eric has been rolling on his board all the while following the code of conduct set by fellow skaters from Santa Monica and Venice. A kid when the Z-Boys were in their prime, their antics truly inspired and shaped his explosive skating talent. Eric was featured in Skateboarder magazine at age ten, turned pro at the age of twelve and years later became the back-to-back World Street Champion in 1987 and 1988. He can skate any type of terrain with confidence; pools, pipes, streets, ditches, parks, ramps.

For Spring 2009 Vans Syndicate worked with Eric Dressen on a pack. It pulls a direct influence from the classic fedora – a symbol of pride and honor – in a way that was not too obvious. The rich felt overlays, ribbon quarter panel, gold leaf custom lettering, and gold satin linings makes the subtle statement in perfect detail.

The Eric Dressen Half Cab “S” is available in black, brown and gray and will be released at premium retailers beginning of March.
