Rad Collector - Western Edition x Vans
There was a bit of a stir a little while back when the pics surfaced of these sick, sick Western Edition Sk8 Hi’s. A lot of people, including some of those close to the brand, didn’t know how they came to be. Turns out they were done by RAW skater Nate Keegan’s homie Hush, who took apart a pair of Sk8-Hi’s and meticulously reconstructed them into the WE 10th anniversary tribute joints you see above. Check out some more of Nate’s pair after the jump. These are 1 of 2 – the only other pair went to WE’s Ian Johnson, who created the graphic. Via Re1000.

Rad Collector - Western Edition x Vans 10th Anniversary Sk8 Hi
Back in March we showed you the fresh Western Edition 10th Anniversary Miles ‘59 Quintet Series decks. Well it turns out that they also hooked up a one of a kind pair of Vans Sk8 Hi’s as a cherry on top of their anniversary cake. A perfect extension of the deck artwork, these feature full panel close-up illustrations of Miles’ band members and a tri-color Western Edition logo on the back. You will absolutely not be able to get these. Via NSB.org. More looks after the jump.

Western Edition x RAW Present Marvin Gaye: 25 Years Later

Rad Collector - WE x RAW Marvin Gaye
As a tribute to Marvin Gaye on the 25th anniversary of his unfortunate death, Western Edition and RAW have gotten together to produce an amazing in memoriam limited edition collection. The collection consists of a red beanie in Marvin’s trademark style, a tee, and deck. The companies also released this thoughtful statement to accompany the news of this collaboration.

Every man’s life has a beginning and an end. The fact of the matter is, however, that it is what a man does with the time in between those two moments that defines how he will be remembered when it is all over. From his humble beginnings in our nation’s capital to his bizarre and tragic death at the hand of his own father, Marvin Gaye filled his moments in between with ideas that will forever maintain his status as a true genius. On April 1, 2009, the twenty-fifth anniversary of Marvin’s passing, we will, for lack of a better term, celebrate. Western Edition of San Francisco and RAW of Boston have released this collection to pay respect to the musical history that Marvin Gaye left for all of us to use as inspiration.

Looks at the whole collection after the jump.
