While at TheGoodLife! x Sailor Jerry Cabin in Aspen, Tim Brodhagen caught up with Halldor Helgason for a quick dose about his gnarly Big Air crash and all of his new tattoos, including the one he got from Downtown Terry Brown right after his interview. Helgason’s are the shit.
Next out of Aspen, Mark McMorris came out swinging and housed the slopestyle competition for his second gold in a row in that event. Attaining near Shaun White status with a highest-ever 98 points, the actual Shaun White came in 5th. Check it out.
The rad thing about X Games is that after months of hype, the actual games blaze by in one mega weekend. Starting our update on the winners, check out Torstein Horgmo’s switch backside triple cork, which he stomped flawlessly on his way to a gold medal. Mark McMorris and Stale Sandbech rounded out the top three.
Aussie design firm Eness just released this video highlighting their work at this year’s Winter X Games in Aspen. Hit them up for all your 3D animation needs.
TheGoodLife! just dropped this rad image of Trouble Andrew and Santigold living it up in Aspen at Louie Vito’s X Games after-party featuring Raekwon and Ghostface. Epic. See more at wearethegoodlife.
TheGoodlife! crew just dropped this hilarious Chalet Tour with Stunnaman aka Two 8ight The Swag King from the top of Ajax Mountain for the Trouble Andrew show at the monster party. Homie has a wood chandelier!
It’s good to be Pat Moore. Not only did the New Hampshire ripper get a respectable bronze at X Games for his rad Real Snow video and get a clean bill of health this week to start shredding again this week, but he just flew into NYC and straight to the Prudential Center for the Nets game where the crowd was treated to Pat’s Real Snow part and Pat was in turn treated to some extra love on the Jumbotron! If you’re in NYC, head to Union Square at 5am tomorrow morning to see Pat and friends at the Union Square Snow Festival.
This may be the first time we’ve ever covered a snowmobiler on Radcollector but the gnarliness of Justin Hoyer’s epic bail at Winter X, plus the fact that he’s from Wisconsin, gives us more than enough reason. Check it out as he explains what went wrong in Aspen this year as he tried to land his signature double backflip and try not to fall out every time they replay the hit. Via Network A.
TheGoodLife! and Louie Vito got together once again to make shred life history with their annual blowout event at the Belly Up in Aspen. This year’s party starring Raekwon and Ghostface Killah with DJ’s Spider, Tina T, and 12th Planet plus a surprise takeover by the Lady WuTang was an over capacity jumpoff that had the likes of Trouble Andrew and the Trouble Gang, Santigold, double X Games gold medalist Mark McMorris, Torstein Horgmo, Mikkel Bang, Kazu Kokubo, Danny Davis, Keir Dillon, Sal Masekela, Jake Burton, and even a gang of NFL’ers including Zane Beadles, Adam Weber, Blake Haudan, Jon Hoese, Eric Decker, Knowshon Moreno, Dave Bruton and Zac Robinson throwing W’s in the air til the early morn. Peep TheGoodLife’s recap edit from the entire weekend featuring Trouble and Santi shredding, Raekwon on his first Gondola ride, Stunnaman running the VIP, and one of the most epic Wu shows west of the Mississippi. TheGoodLife! x Louie Vito’s X Games finale was supported by Nike, Red Bull, Spy, Toyota, Beatport and Radcollector.
As expected, the Louie Vito X Games wrap party at the Belly Up in Aspen was the illest jumpoff of the entire X Games week. Yelawolf, fresh off of two days of shredding with Louie, Trouble Andrew, Mason Aguirre, Santigold, Kenna and the Radcollector and Frank151 crews, was so stoked that he threw down perhaps his livest show ever. After Yela, DJ Z-Trip took over and turned the venue into a sweaty mess of pro’s and pro-ho’s that crescendoed with a 20 minute double crunk version of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody that almost burned the club down. Word is he even got to skate with Torstein’s gold medal at the end of the night. Check out some pics after the jump and stay tuned for the Radcollector x Nike 6.0 x Frank151 edit from the weekend coming soon. Special thanks to Nike 6.0, Spy, 686, Toyota, Jose Cuervo and TheGoodLife!
